AFA has greatly increased my sports performance knowledge overall. Through their core coaching philosophy, I’ve learned the foundations when training speed, agility, power, strength, and Olympic lifting. The experience as an intern was positive, community driven, and fun. I got to see a diverse array of athletes in all kinds of sports and team settings. Not only has this experience been great in the educational way, it’s taught me more about 3-pillars of recovery; sleep, hydration, & nutrition; and given me more discipline as I’ve applied it to my own lifestyle as a competitive powerlifter.
